The idea of having a "virtual class" made me want to further explore the different technology options out there that can benefit both myself and my students.
I found some really great resources that I would love to share!
(click on the icon of the webpage to be redirected)
QR code generator- create a "treasure hunt" for your students (this is great if you have iPads in your classroom)- you create questions to imput into the QR codes, create a code for each question, place the codes around the room, and students can scan and read the questions with any device.
Google Moderator- class voting. You post a question to your classroom google moderator, and students can send in their answers from their devices. The results are tallied and posted instantly.
Google Classroom- a sort of "blog" where you can post everything you are doing in the classroom. Parents can look on the Google Classroom to find answers to their questions. Even cooler, if the teacher posts an assignment to Google Classroom, a student who has no access to internet will still be able to access these assignments.
Video notes- when a video clip is assigned to the class, the teacher can see when certain students have viewed it, and can see the comments that each student posted. It also keeps track of the specific time in the video that the comments were made, and automatically saves the notes to their google drive.
Make Beliefs Comics- Create your own comic strips!
Story Starters- Creative writing prompts with multiple themes.
Love,
Ms. Verner
